One thing about me is that idk how to react to people having eating disorders because I just feel like that's not my fucking business. And if that's what someone's used to then it doesn't help to bring attention to it or try and force them to get better. Like it sucks and it's sad to watch people hurt themselves, but being obese isn't exactly normal or good either.

I have a fairly nuanced opinion when it comes to eating in general. I don't think everyone needs to be buff, some people are just fat sometimes. I am one of those people and I've had my own struggles with restricting and obsessively working out. People don't control what they consume. No matter how much this country tries to convince you that you have free will, YOU DON'T.

Basically none of the decisions you make throughout the day are your own. Most people will go their entire lives not having any actual free will because they mistake autonomy for free will. This is taught to you as soon as you're old enough to understand things and speak. Being dependent on other people kinda fucks you when the people around you are a bunch of cunts or they're abusive or delusional or whatever. Those people are responsible for feeding you.

But what if they're broke? What if you're native and you eat commodities? What if you rely on the food bank? What if you get fed off formula instead of titties? What if your family just isn't educated about nutrition because they forgot or they weren't taught or because "that's liberal bullshit"? The buck doesn't stop there. Your household could be brainwashed, stupid, helpless, but regardless of which—they are fucked. And so are you.

People in this country have been starved before. There used to be food shortages, wars, diseases, etc. and poor people were left to suffer and starve. Some peoples families evolved to combat this and their bodies learned to store fat in order to survive. People who are indigenous to snowy or mountainous areas tend to be bigger as well. Anyone who is thin is probably made for running.

Another key point I feel necessary to bring up is how black folks tend to be either very fit or overweight with hardly anything in between that would be considered out of shape. Years of forced labor and having to survive harsh conditions does have an effect on biology and genetics. There have even been studies that show black people have better peripheral vision to see predators better which could've been learned where there are fucking lions around, but that trait seems to remain since cops will just kill people. Hypervigilance is part of a lot of people's genetics. Like anyone AFAB.

I'm never going to assume everyone who's fat as fuck is like that because they "lack self control" because this society encourages everyone to live in excess. And even if them lacking self control is a problem, idgaf. So does everyone. So do I. I lack the self control when it comes to alcohol because it makes me feel good. Same for cutting myself. Same for starving myself so that I just have control over something and I can get drunk easier. They make this poison easily accessible and everything else illegal so you'll make impulsive, risky decisions. Spend money, reproduce and have to inevitably spend money, or get arrested and make the state some money in exchange for your time or freedom. Stay at home broadcasting yourself doing nothing on TikTok for chump change because that's what your life is worth. Do food reviews in your car. Make your kids have targets on their backs and make little girls learn to hate themselves so they spend more money. Work your life away for money to get cosmetic surgery that could kill you and might make you look worse. Chase this meaningless bullshit because if you don't, you'll come up with a way to topple all this shit to the ground.

There is a fine line between having control and losing it. Overcompensating seems appealing to a lot of people who felt deprived of things when they were younger. Whether that's guidance, love, or just serotonin.
